Biology

Students are introduced to a collection of West African Examinations Council (WAEC) approved experiments that cover a wide range of biological concepts and processes. These experiments are presented within real-life contexts to help students apply and extend their knowledge and understanding of Biology in a way that stimulates interest, enhances learning, and improves retention. Experiments carried out include, but are not limited to:

  • Use of the microscope

  • Test for starch in a leaf

  • Biological drawing techniques

  • Symmetry, section, and orientation

  • Movement of substances in and out of cells

  • Classification of organisms

Chemistry

Students are taken through a series of experiments designed to enhance their understanding of the composition, properties, and changes of matter. With a fully stocked and well-equipped chemistry laboratory, we provide guided, hands-on practical sessions that cover the entire WASSCE curriculum.

This approach fosters curiosity and nurtures students’ interest in pursuing career paths within the field of chemistry. Experiments carried out include:

  • Identification and use of basic laboratory apparatus
  • Preparation and dilution of standard solutions
  • Acid-base titrations
  • Back titration
  • Double indicator titration

Physics

Students are guided to experiment with the fundamental laws and principles of Physics while gaining hands-on experience in the use of scientific instruments. Our practical sessions are designed to be engaging, motivating, and enjoyable, helping to sharpen students’ powers of observation, stimulate investigative thinking, and deepen their understanding and appreciation of Physics. Experiments carried out during our sessions include:

  • Identification and use of basic instruments
  • Determination of density and relative density of objects
  • Verification of the law of floatation
  • Experimental determination of the coefficient of friction
  • Verification of Hooke’s Law
  • Verification of the laws of reflection and refraction
  • Experimental verification of Ohm’s Law
  • Study of moments (balancing with masses)
..
